Nuns' Island will please house buyers that value a variety of means of transportation. The car is usually the preferred mode of transportation in Nuns' Island. It is convenient to park, and it is a short drive to the nearest highway, such as Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est, from anywhere in this area. Nuns' Island is also quite transit friendly. For example, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually very close. There aren't many pedestrians out on the streets of Nuns' Island, even though many daily errands can be run on foot. In contrast, it is convenient to move around by bike in this part of the city because cyclists do not face serious elevation changes, and the cycling network is quite extensive.

Services

House buyers in this neighbourhood will welcome that a grocery store is always only a rather short walk away. There are also a few choices for those who value restaurants and cafes in close proximity. As far as education is concerned, parents and their children will welcome that no matter where their home is situated in Nuns' Island, daycares are nearby. However, there are only a limited number of primary schools in this part of Montréal and accordingly they can be an extended walk away. Furthermore, Nuns' Island does not contain any high schools.

Character

The character of Nuns' Island is exemplified by its slower-paced atmosphere. This area features a good amount of greenery as there are many tree-lined streets. There are about 10 public green spaces close by for residents to relax in, which makes them very easy to reach. This neighbourhood is also reasonably quiet, as the streets are usually tranquil - however some parts can be quite loud, especially closer to Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est or Autoroute 15.
